Why do Chino Valley Fire District firefighters respond to medical calls?
The Chino Valley Fire District has licensed paramedics on every engine and truck company in the District in order to provide state-of-the art medical care. Paramedic Engine companies are staffed at a minimum with two Firefighter/Paramedics and two Emergency Medical Technicians, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. They provide advanced life support (ALS) care to approximately 173,000 people in the cities of Chino, Chino Hills, and surrounding unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County.
CVIFD firefighters maintain their skills through required annual skills workshops and annual re-certification classes.
