Letter from ChiefThe Chino Valley Independent Fire District provides high quality, professional emergency medical and fire protection services to the Cities of Chino, Chino Hills and surrounding unincorporated areas. The Fire District covers an 80-square-mile area in the southwest corner of San Bernardino County. Serving a population of approximately 162,000, the Fire District delivers a full range of emergency services including fire prevention and education, fire suppression, hazardous materials response, emergency medical services, and urban search and rescue operations.
The Fire District is committed to providing the best emergency service possible to the community. This is accomplished in part by maintaining highly trained personnel and providing them with the highest quality equipment. Six fire stations are geographically spaced throughout the Fire District, all six providing paramedic services. This distribution of fire apparatus, staffed with paramedics, reduces the response time for advanced life support (ALS) services to an emergency scene and results in better patient care.
The Fire District values the residents, businesses and visitors of our communities and we are proud to serve you. Through the direction and leadership of our Board of Directors, we have developed a Master Plan to guide the growth and development of the Fire District. The Master Plan is available on this web site and I encourage you to take a few minutes and become familiar with it. Your comments and input on all aspects of our Fire District are welcome and encouraged.
On behalf of all of the men and women of the Chino Valley Independent Fire District, I thank you for your support and recognition of our commitment to you.
Sincerely,
Email Chief Benson
