Safety Tips

The City of Chino allows the sale and use of "Safe and Sane" fireworks, but only in the areas of the city of Chino west of Euclid Avenue and north of Kimball Avenue.  Legal fireworks may only be purchased from a State Fire Marshal licensed retail stand from noon on July 1st to 9 pm July 4th and can only be discharged or possessed from noon on July 1st to midnight July 4th.

WARNING! All fireworks, including those purchased in the City of Chino, are illegal in the neighboring communities of Chino Hills, Pomona, Montclair, Ontario, unincorporated areas of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, and in the areas of the city of Chino south of Kimball Avenue or east of Euclid Avenue. All fireworks that either explode or leave the ground are illegal in California. Failure to comply with fireworks regulations will result in confiscation, citation and prosecution.

Severe burns, amputations, blindness and even death are often the result of 4th of July celebrations. Parents are liable for any damage or injuries caused by their children using fireworks.
