Employee of the Year

Ralph Ortiz has been selected as District Employee of the Year.  

As part of the 'Employee of the Year' selection process, Ralph received numerous compliments from his peers describing him as demonstrating a work ethic that is rarely seen anymore. 

Ralph provides outstanding auxiliary service that supports the staff and station facilities.  He greets everyone in the office by saying "Good Morning" which is always accompanied by a refreshing smile.  He takes on minor tasks with the same enthusiam as major tasks.  Ralph is someone to be admired for his professional work ethic, and his caring Chino Valley Fire District family attitude.  Ralph is young at heart and mind, and known for his can-do, get that done, no stopping him, character.  

Ralph and his wife of 51 years, Olga, have two sons; Ralph and Mark, and a daughter, Sandy.  They are the proud grandparents of nine grandchildren. 

Prior to his current position at the Fire District, Ralph worked for the meat industry for 35 years.  After retiring from the meat industry, he worked part-time for Universal Motion Components, responsible for inventory control.  Ralph was hired, as an Auxiliary Worker, by CVFD, on December 8, 2003. 

In his personal life, Ralph enjoys trips to Vegas, dining out (especially, at In-n-Out), home projects, camping, and spending time with his beautiful family.

The Chino Valley Fire District is fortunate to have Ralph as a member of the organization and proud to present him as the Chino Valley Fire District 2007 "Employee of the Year".
