Bio of John DeMonacoDirector John DeMonaco resides in the City of Chino Hills with his wife JoAnn. They have two grown children, John III (34), Jami (30) and three grandchildren, Jacob (5), Matthew (4), and Timmy (2).
Director DeMonaco was born in New Castle, PA, and grew up in Azusa, California.
Director DeMonaco has recently retired from the Fire Service with over 33 years of experience. He has held various positions which include serving as the Fire Chief of the City of Westminster from 1993 to 1995 and the Fire Chief of the City of San Marino from 1989 to 1993. He has also served the cities of Hawthorne, California City, and Placentia prior to the merging of the Placentia Fire Department with the County of Orange Fire Department in 1975.
Director DeMonaco holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Management from the University of Redlands and an Associate of Science degree from Cero Coso Community College in Ridgecrest. He is also a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer Program and holds numerous California State Certifications including Certified Chief Officer, Certified Fire Officer and Certified Fire Investigator I & II.
In his personal life, Director DeMonaco enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, and home projects.
