Steve Burns, Fleet and facilities coordinator
Steve and his wife, Sheri, have been residents of Chino for more than two decades. They have two adult children, Brent and Stevie.
Steve has served as the Fleet and Facilities Coordinator for the Chino Valley Fire District for five years.
Steve is a graduate of Diamond Bar High School and the California State Contractor’s License School. He has over 20 years of experience as a contractor, and throughout his career, Steve has worked across a wide range of fields with several companies. Before coming to the Fire District, Steve was a local business owner where he perfected his mechanical and business practices.
As the Fleet and Facilities Coordinator for the Fire District, Steve handles repairs, general maintenance, and coordination of large projects. He has been involved in the procurement, development, and completion of our new maintenance facility. He has implemented new business practices, including a robust fleet maintenance program.
Steve is involved in several special programs that include the Heart Safe/Bleed Safe Program, Make a Child Smile, and the Remembering When program. His talents and experience have been put to good use with the installations of several automated external defibrillators, trauma kits, and smoke alarms in the homes of senior citizens throughout the community.
Award and Service
Steve is a proud member of the community, and when not busy building or working on his next project, he can be found volunteering his time at District community events. His creativity and attention to detail is showcased in his designing and production of signs, plaques, and trophies throughout District facilities.
In his personal life, Steve enjoys traveling to Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, and the Colorado River with his family.
